SOFT drinks producer Fever-Tree has expanded its range of low-calorie mixers this month with the launch of a limited edition cucumber flavoured tonic water.

The Refreshingly Light Cucumber Tonic is made with a natural cucumber essence, which is described as providing balance with the “gentle bitterness” of the quinine in the tonic water, and is said to pair well with “fresh and floral” gins as well as premium vodkas.

The new variant, available in 500ml bottle format, will be served at events throughout the summer, including the Fever-Tree Championships at Queen’s Club in London.

Fever-Tree launched its first seasonal limited edition product last year over the Christmas period, Clementine & Cinnamon Tonic Water, which became the brand’s third most popular product over December 2017, according to company figures.

The range reflects the same commitment to quality that is at the heart of all our products.

The new addition will temporarily bolster Fever-Tree’s low-calorie selection to 14 after a larger expansion of the Refreshingly Light range earlier this year.

The range includes variants such as Mediterranean Tonic Water and Sicilian Lemonade, as well as mixers made to pair with darker spirits such as Ginger Ale and Madagascan Cola.

Rose Black, Fever-Tree’s innovation manager, said: “The Refreshingly Light range reflects the same commitment to the highest quality ingredients, botanicals and taste that is at the heart of all our products.”
