AN Edinburgh operator is branching out of the city’s centre with the acquisition of a restaurant in Bruntsfield in the capital’s south west.
James McGregor, owner of the Royal McGregor pub on the Royal Mile, has taken over the leasehold to the former Indian restaurant Himalaya on Bruntsfield place, with plans to reposition the venue.
Barry McNeil, director of Cornerstone, who handled the sale on the previous owner’s behalf, said: “We are pleased that the lease has been sold to an established Edinburgh pub and bar operator who has exciting plans to redevelop the unit. Bruntsfield is one of the most desirable neighbourhoods just south of Edinburgh city centre.”
The sale price of the leasehold was not disclosed.
