Sponsorship deal is a nose ahead

The deal sees Edinburgh Gin poured in all bars and restaurants at the course

EDINBURGH Gin, the Scottish gin brand owned by Ian Macleod Distillers, is off to the races after signing a three-year sponsorship deal with racing event the Scottish Sprint Cup.

The event, which takes place in June at Musselburgh Racecourse, will be broadcast on ITV.

The deal will see Edinburgh Gin’s Seaside Gin poured in all bars, restaurants and pop-up bars at the venue, including two specially constructed bars in the racecourse’s picnic and marquee areas.

Neil Mowat, UK marketing director of Ian Macleod Distillers, said the “Edinburgh Gin Scottish Sprint Cup will be a fantastic addition to the season’s racing schedule”.

Racecourse general manager, Bill Farnsworth, said the deal was “a great fit for both parties”.
