Business in Aberdeenshire seaside town up for sale
AN Aberdeenshire country house hotel which is said to be ideal for weddings, has come onto the books of property firm Christie & Co.
The Fife Lodge Hotel, which sits on the banks of the River Deveron in the historic seaside town of Banff, is described as a “high quality small hotel” just off of the A97, one of the main routes into the town from the south.
The property has become available to allow the current owner, who has owned and operated the hotel for the last six years, to retire.
Set within its own private grounds, the property has eight en suite letting rooms, including a suite which can sleep up to five guests.
The hotel’s restaurant is said to have gained an “excellent reputation”, majoring in locally-sourced produce; there’s also an adjoining garden room and lounge bar.
The function room, The Princess Louise Ballroom, can accommodate up to 300 guests and is used for weddings and receptions.
Stuart Drysdale, associate director at Christie & Co, said: “Fife Lodge Hotel presents a fantastic opportunity for an owner/operator to build on an already successful business.
“The business would ideally suit a husband and wife team or couple and benefit from a hands-on approach.
“Detached three-bedroom owner’s accommodation sits to the rear of the hotel, and although this is not included within the sale, this could be made available under separate negotiation.”
The property is on the market at ÂŁ595,000 for the freehold.
