A NEW owner has taken the helm at a country house hotel which looks over Gare Loch.
Chinese investor Tom Xu purchased the 30-bedroom Rosslea Hall Hotel from BDL Select Hotels for an undisclosed sum. The hotel was sold free of management and branding, allowing Xu to reposition the business.
The property, located in the village of Rhu on the eastern shore of the loch, also has conference and function rooms.
Neil Milligan, associate for hotels and hospitality at JLL, who advised BDL on the sale, said: “This hotel offers a great mix of both corporate and leisure guests.
“The local naval base continues to expand, driving more employment to the local area, while the attractive gardens and waterside views make this a key Scottish wedding venue.”
The property had been on the market with a guide price of £2 million.
