Royal seal of approval

Chelsea Flower Gin from Partridges

A SCOTTISH distillery is helping well-wishers toast the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after collaborating with London-based grocer and royal warrant holder Partridges to produce a limited edition gin for the occasion.

Dunnet Bay Distillers in Caithness helped create the new Chelsea Flower No. 2 gin – described as having notes of bergamot, citrus and coriander – which will be launched in time for the nuptials on May 19.

The 41.5% ABV gin will be available  in 50cl bottles, each of which has been filled and numbered by hand and sealed with wax.

John Shepherd, managing director of Partridges, said: “Gin is a quintessential British drink and as a royal warrant holder to HM The Queen we are honoured to launch the new Chelsea Flower Gin to celebrate the wedding of her grandson Prince Harry to Meghan Markle and send all our best wishes to the happy couple.”
