Low-calorie mixer range rebranded and expanded
SOFT drinks firm Fever-Tree has rebranded and relauched its range of low-calorie mixers, all of which are exempt from the sugar tax.
The newly augmented Refreshingly Light range has been expanded to include nine variants, which are free from artificial sweeteners as each has been made by blending fruit sugars with the same ingredients and botanicals as the brand’s regular products.
The range, which is said to have been developed over two and a half years, includes flavours such as Mediterranean Tonic Water, Aromatic Tonic Water and Sicilian Lemonade as well as mixers designed to complement darker spirits such as Ginger Ale and Madagascan Cola.
The updated low-calorie range has been renamed Refreshingly Light to reflect “the crisp and clean flavour profiles of the tonics and mixers”.
The range reflects the same commitment to taste that is at the heart of all our products.
The selection will be available in 500ml, 4x200ml and 8x150ml bottle formats.
The entire range contains less than five grams of sugar per 100ml, the threshold soft drinks have to be under in order to be exempt from the sugar tax.
Rose Black, innovation manager at Fever-Tree, said: “We are proud of our position as pioneers of the premium mixer and how we have transformed the wider mixer category. The Refreshingly Light range reflects the same commitment to the highest quality ingredients, botanicals and taste that is at the heart of all our products.
“Fever-Tree was the first company to produce a premium, superior tasting low-calorie tonic water free from artificial sweeteners, and we are delighted to be able to offer consumers low-calorie variants of their favourite Fever-Tree flavours without compromising on quality or taste.”
Fever-Tree, founded 13 years ago by Charles Rolls and Tim Warrillow, released what the firm said was the world’s first low-calorie tonic water in 2007.
