A growth spurt for gin’s anniversary

Brockmans reveals record financial results ahead of tenth birthday

Brockmans has released four new seasonal cocktail serves, including the Summer Negroni

IT’S been a good year for the firm behind Brockmans gin, which has posted record financial results for 2017 as it approaches the tenth anniversary of the gin’s launch.

The company’s UK sales rose 145%, which was said to have been driven by increased demand from major on-trade customers, including Greene King and Hilton.

Total revenue grew by over half (51%) to £8.2 million with the company significantly expanding its presence within multiple grocers such as Marks & Spencer.

The business, launched in 2008, has also continued its international expansion and will be available in 40 countries by the end of the year.

Neil Everitt, Brockmans’ joint founder and chief executive, said: “It’s great to be toasting such strong numbers as we look forward to celebrating our tenth anniversary later this year.

“The UK’s love affair with gin shows no sign of waning and Brockmans clearly won the hearts of many new drinkers, helping us significantly outperform the market.

“The recent decision to move into multiple grocers will provide the springboard to our next milestone, selling 100,000 cases a year.”

The brand has also unveiled new seasonal suggested cocktail serves for summer, some of which are modern takes on time-honoured classics.
