Perthshire business is up for sale after three decades
A HOTEL and restaurant in Perth and Kinross that’s been owned by the same family for over three decades is now on the market.
Located in the centre of Coupar Angus, four miles south of Blairgowrie, the Red House Hotel has been extended by the current owners and comprises 20 en suite letting rooms, a bar and restaurant for 124 covers, a conservatory, public bar, snooker room, leisure facility, squash court and a pool/darts room.
There is also a 160-capacity function space, with the hotel said to have an established weddings and events business.
In addition, the Red House Hotel, which trades year-round, offers weekend golf, fishing and shooting breaks in the surrounding area.
Whilst trading very well, there is further opportunity to expand the business.
Brian Sheldon, regional director at Christie & Co, which is marketing the property, said the Red House Hotel has been owned by the same family for 36 years and has now been put on the market to allow the owners to retire.
“The Red House Hotel sits upon a large plot with an enviable trading position within the town,” he said.
“Directly to the front is the large car park which can accommodate up to 90 cars.
“To the side of the hotel sits a large vacant plot for future development, which presents the opportunity to expand the letting bedrooms and leisure facility.
“Whilst trading very well, there is no doubt that the business offers a discerning purchaser the opportunity to further develop and expand the business.”
Offers in the region of ÂŁ2.4 million are being sought for the property.
