A historic Borders roadside inn which has been converted into a ‘destination’ restaurant with rooms is on the market.
The Horseshoe Inn, which is located in Eddleston near Peebles, is said to have been “totally transformed” by the current owners, who purchased the restaurant in 2005.
The traditional inn comprises a restaurant, lounge and bar, while the separate Horseshoe Lodge, which occupies the former primary school building to the rear of the inn, provides eight letting bedrooms.
Alistair Letham, a director in the UK hotels agency team at Colliers International, which is marketing the property at offers over £650,000, said: “The quality of the finishings at The Horseshoe and Horseshoe Lodge are such that there is a wonderful opportunity for new owners, probably taking a ‘hands on’ role in the business operation, to expand and develop the trading to new and exciting levels.”
