Chance to make a sea change

Cotshouse Inn
The CotHouse Inn dates from 1623

OPERATORS looking for a hotel business by the water might be interested in the CotHouse Inn.

Situated near the seaside town of Dunoon at the head of Holy Loch, the CotHouse Inn is said to be a popular venue with tourists; it is adjacent to the Cot House Caravan Park, which has capacity for more than 50 caravans.

Said to date from 1623, the CotHouse Inn now comprises five letting bedrooms, an 80-cover restaurant and an external decked marquee area, which can seat 100 and is currently licensed until 10pm; an additional income stream, the marquee can accommodate a range of functions, live music entertainment and weddings.

Josh Hill of Christie & Co, which is marketing the business, said the CotHouse Inn presents a “great opportunity for a chef owner or a husband and wife team to take advantage of the prominent trading position”.

“The CotHouse Inn will appeal to a mixture of buyers including regional multiple operators and chef owner operators due to the prominent location of the business and the multiple income streams available,” he said.

The price of the business is available on application.
