All change at capital’s Southside

The Southside Guest House has eight letting bedrooms

A NEW owner has checked in to the Southside Guest House in Edinburgh after it changed hands in a deal brokered by property firm Christie & Co.

Built in 1867, the mid-terraced property, which sits on Newington Road close to The Meadows, comprises eight en suite letting rooms, a reception area and a breakfast room, as well as a “secluded” private garden and patio.

The property also has one-bedroom owner’s accommodation.

The business was sold on behalf of Franco and Lynn Galgani, who plan to retire from the trade, to first-time buyer Roy Chung.

Offers in excess of £750,000 were sought for the business; the final sale price was not disclosed.
