DUNBAR-based brewer Belhaven is aiming to grow its presence in the fruit-flavoured beer category with the launch of a new mango-flavoured brew.
Twisted Mango IPA, which is available in keg and 330ml can format, is said to combine the “big tropical fruit aroma” of Galaxy hops with a “unique twist of juicy, fresh mango”. The 5.1% ABV IPA is the fourth craft beer to be launched by Belhaven in 330ml cans, joining Twisted Thistle IPA, Intergalactic Dry Hop Lager and Twisted Grapefruit IPA.
Belhaven brand manager Gordon Muir said the Twisted range has helped grow sales and distribution in Scotland and abroad.
“The fruit-flavoured beer market is fast-growing and innovative and at Belhaven we are very much at the forefront of the movement in the UK,” he said. “We are thrilled to bring Twisted Mango IPA to the market and believe mango is a winner after extensive trialling with fruit and hop combinations to creative this fresh, fruity IPA.”
