Who will say yes to loch-side hotel?

New owner sought for established wedding business

Built in 1849, the Rosslea Hall Hotel sits within landscaped grounds, overlooking Gare Loch

A HOTEL and wedding venue which is said to benefit from its seafront setting is for sale via JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group.

Situated in Rhu, near Helensburgh, the Rosslea Hall Hotel sits on the Firth of Clyde and is said to command impressive views of Gare Loch.

The business is said to be a popular wedding venue, with a large events space which can accommodate 128 guests and 1.37 acres of landscaped gardens.

Built in 1849, the property comprises 30 bedrooms, a 50-cover formal restaurant, 30-cover casual bar lounge area, two meeting and events areas, parking for 45 cars and a former staff block.

The current owners, a syndicate of investors, have decided to sell the property after investing in the site over a number of years.

The business represents a significant investment opportunity to secure a well-performing hotel.

Neil Milligan of JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group said the hotel “represents a significant investment opportunity to secure a well-performing hotel which is popular with corporate and leisure guests”.

“We expect the hotel, which acts as a gateway for visitors to explore Argyll & Bute, to generate significant interest from either first-time buyers or experienced operators,” said Milligan.

Hotel general manager Don McGregor said the Rosslea Hall Hotel “has developed an outstanding reputation for service quality and guest care, as displayed by our awards in recent years”.

Offered for sale with a guide price of £1.95 million, the hotel is available individually or as a group alongside The Bedford Swan Hotel, Bedford, and The Langstone Hotel, Portsmouth.
