THE operators behind two independent on-trade groups have joined forces to buy a restaurant business in the Highlands.
Home on the Loch, located near the village of Tarbet, was acquired by Mario Gizzi and Tony Conetta of the Di Maggio’s Restaurant Group and Paul Sloan and Calum MacLachlainn of Oban-based pubs and hotels firm, Diversity Leisure Group; the four have worked together on various concepts before, including Mexican food chain, Pinto, which was sold to Barburrito.
Josh Hill of property firm Christie & Co, which handled the sale of the 48-cover restaurant, said the venue is currently closed so offers the new owners a “blank canvas” for their venture.
“As the Home on the Loch restaurant is conveniently located on the banks of Loch Lomond, one of many well known tourist routes in Scotland, I am sure the new owners will make a great success of their new business venture,” he said.
