THE operators of Balbirnie House Hotel in Fife have marked its 25th anniversary by unveiling a special oil painting of the property.
Called ‘Wildflowers, Balbirnie’, the painting of the Grade A listed Georgian mansion is by Scottish colourist Archie Forrest. The project was initiated in 2015 by hotel owners Nicholas and Gaynor Russell, after Forrest’s daughter held her wedding at Balbirnie, and grew to a collection of seven pieces, all of which are to be displayed in the recently-revamped drawing room. All of the artwork was gifted by the artist.
Nicholas Russell said: “This project is in tribute to our work colleagues at Balbirnie House Hotel, 25 years of such amazing memories of working in hospitality.”
