THE Aberdeen branch of BB Foodservice – part of the Bestway Group – has been chosen by the company as one of just 15 flagship depots across the UK.

The Scotstown Road depot, which opened in Aberdeen in 1976, will undergo a major refit in January 2018 to support the site’s growth targets.

Steven Young, the Aberdeen site’s general manager, said: “The depot makes upwards of 700 deliveries every week to more than 600 businesses within a 240-mile radius.

“And we expect those figures to increase dramatically as we look to expand the number of businesses we supply with a wide range of food and drink products and a local, personal service.”

The announcement forms part of a wider rebrand, which will affect a total of 15 depots across the UK, including four other sites in Scotland.

BB Foodservice has selected wholesale depots in Glasgow, Edinburgh (two sites), and Perth to rebrand.
