Frozen sales heating up

SOFT drinks firm Vimto Out of Home has introduced a new brand to help operators create simple, frozen cocktails.

Frÿst (pronounced Free-st) has been launched to capitalise on what’s said to be growing demand for premium, frozen cocktails, with minimum time and effort required from bar staff. It is capable of producing a range of cocktails, including Blue Lagoons, Strawberry Daiquiris and Mojitos.

Ed Jones, senior customer marketing manager at Vimto Out of Home, said that with 78% of bars now serving cocktails, “this sector is booming and shows no sign of slowing”.

“Frÿst provides a great opportunity to capitalise on these trends – and it’s super-easy to create,” he said.

“Simply pour the base spirit, add the frozen mix and serve.

“Having frozen cocktails on tap offers a massive advantage, especially in high footfall bars.”
