ENGLISH craft brewery St. Peter’s has unveiled two new fruit beers in time for the festive season.
The Suffolk-based micro-brewery launched its Plum Porter and Citrus beers as part of supermarket Morrisons’ Brewed for Morrisons Beer Festival 2017, with 6000 cases of the beers supplied to the retailer to meet customer demand for new and more unusual beers.
However, the on-trade can take advantage of the releases too, as the drinks will be made available to the nation’s pubs and bars in 500ml bottles.
Plum Porter is described as a “dark, sweet, full-bodied porter with background notes of damson and blackcurrant”, and is said to be a “perfect, warming beer for the winter season”. Citrus, meanwhile, is a premium golden beer “combined with a light natural grapefruit flavour producing a subtle citrus aftertaste”.
