New hands take helm in the Highlands

A WEST Highland bed and breakfast business has changed hands after attracting a high level of interest from potential buyers.

Property agent Graham & Sibbald said it was “inundated” with enquiries about the West Highland Lodge near Crianlarich, which was put on the market in June by the heritable creditors following a repossession; the property was sold at a closing date for an undisclosed sum in excess of the asking price.

Located a mile and a half north west of Crianlarich, the property has six bedrooms, a residents’ sitting room and sun lounge, an owner’s sitting room or public breakfast room, a “well-equipped” kitchen and a small office.

Peter Seymour of Graham & Sibbald said: “This is one of the shortest heritable property sales we have seen in recent times with a deal being concluded within three months of the property being placed on the market.”
