A SEAFRONT Highland hotel has changed hands in a deal brokered by property firm ASG Commercial.
The Castle Hotel, located in Portmahomack – a small village within Easter Ross, is said to offer “outstanding views” overlooking the Dornoch Firth.
Sold last month from an asking price of offers over £200,000, the business was purchased by John and Denise Catley.
Looking to ‘breathe new life’ into the business, the new owners are now planning a series of upgrades to the property, which has historically traded with bar sales, food and seven letting bedrooms.
Commenting on the takeover, John said: “We are very excited about taking our new venture forward and being part of the lovely community of Portmahomack.”
Paul Hart of ASG Commercial said the northern Highlands “is seeing a renewal of activity within the hospitality sector”.
