Making inroads in the Borders

A MIDLOTHIAN roadside restaurant has changed hands via Cornerstone Business Agents.

Set just off the A68, the main connecting route between the Borders and Edinburgh, the Juniperlea Inn is said to have an established customer base of tourists journeying to and from the Borders.

Inside, the property comprises a bar, function room and 70 cover restaurant, as well as a three bedroom owners’ flat.

Placed on the market by Mr and Mrs Murray, who have owned the business for over 15 years, it was sold to Mr and Mrs Cornwall, who are said to be renovating the premises.

Marketed at a guide price of £289,000 for the freehold, the final sales price was not disclosed.
