THE Scottish Licensed Trade Association (SLTA) bade farewell to its assistant secretary this month when Alison Walker retired after 26 years with the trade group.
Speaking at the SLTA’s annual general meeting in Glasgow earlier this month, chief executive Paul Waterson said: “As an organiser,
administrator and support she is second to none.
“She was devoted to the association and the Scottish licensed trade has benefitted greatly from her tireless work. Oh, and she had to put up with me, which wasn’t easy, during her time. Thank you Alison.”
SLTA president Michael McHugh said: “We would like to thank Alison for 26 years’ sterling service.”
The day to day running of the SLTA office will now be handled solely by secretary Colin Wilkinson.
