IMPORTER and distributor Love Drinks has added Belgian organic craft beer brand Van Bulck to its portfolio.
The three beers in the range were created in 2013 by entrepreneur Denis Renty, who has more than 20 years experience in the food and drink industry, in partnership with a Flanders brewery that dates back to 1830.
The Van Bulck range is said to be based on an old family recipe which has been adapted to suit the palate of today’s beer drinkers.
In addition to consumption on their own, it is claimed the beers have been designed to complement a range of sweet and savoury dishes.
The range consists of three beers, which are available in 330ml bottles.
They are a gluten-free organic lager (4.5% ABV), an organic blonde beer (4.6% ABV) and an organic wild fruit beer (4.7% ABV).
Kirsty Loveday, managing director of Love Drinks, said: “The introduction of Van Bulck Belgian organic craft beers is a fantastic addition to our existing portfolio and we’re delighted to be offering our customers a range of organic lagers that includes a gluten-free choice.
“Increasingly, we are seeing that more and more people are choosing to abstain from gluten in their diet, but with the introduction of gluten-free lagers such as Van Bulck, they can still choose to drink great quality beer without fear of compromise.”
Van Bulck is the second beer range to join the Love Drinks portfolio. Einstök, the Icelandic craft beer range which is brewed 60 miles from the Arctic Circle, was added in 2011.
