SCOTLAND picked up another Commonwealth ‘gold’ when The Famous Grouse Commonwealth Games single malt was named one of the winning whiskies in Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible 2015.
The limited edition bottling of Glenturret single malt, one of the core ingredients of The Famous Grouse, was launched to mark the brand’s sponsorship of the Games. It topped the 22 to 27 year old section in the book.
Gordon Motion, master blender for The Famous Grouse, selected a cask strength 1986 Glenturret, describing it as the “ideal choice” for the special release.
