A festive blipp on the radar for cider brand

MAGNERS’ parent company C&C Group has relaunched the brand’s ‘Blippar’ promotion ahead of Christmas.
The activity, which runs until the end of January, encourages pub customers to use the Blippar app to capture a pic of the label on their Magners bottle or pint glass. Upon ‘blipping’ the image they are then directed to a festive-themed game that gradually reveals if they have won a prize.
Prizes include Barbour jackets, Magners beanies, Hunter wellies and North Face gloves.
The campaign follows similar activity in the summer.
Magners’ head of customer marketing, Ed Shoebridge, said the Blippar app “allows consumers to interact with the fun and spontaneous nature of the Magners brand”.
