A NEW pool hall and pizza bar has opened in Edinburgh’s west end.
Marco’s Pool Hall and Pizza Bar is the latest project from Paul Demarco, managing director of Marco’s Leisure; it is located on the Grove Street site of the original Marco’s Leisure Centre, which was opened in the 1970s by Paul’s father Bert and uncle Ramon and housed 65 snooker tables.
The new venue has a bar with mezzanine area; downstairs, there are 18 American pool tables. Paul said Marco’s aims to “challenge people’s perceptions about what a pool hall can be”.
“What we’re offering is different from anything else happening in Edinburgh just now so it’s an exciting time,” he said.
