BACARDI Brown-Forman Brands has launched a fresh burst of marketing activity for Chambord ahead of the festive season.
The French black raspberry liqueur’s ‘Because No Reason’ campaign was first launched in July and returns to TV screens this month in the run up to the Christmas and New Year trading period.
It will emerge again in February and March 2015 ahead of Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day.
The advert questions why a flamingo and a lady are both standing on one leg.
The simple answer is given that ‘there is no reason – she wants to, she does it’.
The advertisement ends with a bottle of Chambord standing upside down and the words: “Why? Because, no reason.”
Charlotte Ashburner, head of developing brands at BBFB, said: “Chambord has seen great success over the last few years thanks to UK consumers falling in love with our French provenance, evocative bottle and the many delicious ways Chambord can be used in cocktail and culinary recipes.
“The new campaign embraces Chambord’s uniqueness and is being supported by our most significant [above the line] spend ever.
“I look forward to seeing Chambord’s growth continue to accelerate as ‘Because No Reason’ returns to the airwaves over our key trading periods.”
