SCOTLAND has been voted one of the friendliest countries in the world by readers of online travel magazine Rough Guides.
It was listed as the ninth friendliest and is the only European nation to appear in the top ten.
VisitScotland’s Mike Cantlay said Scotland is “famed for its warm welcome”.
