THE catering operation at Glasgow bar Nice n Sleazy has triumphed in Glasgow’s Best Burger Competition.

Meat Hammer chef Paul O’Rourke saw off competition from 18 other venues across the city to win the title with his Lovebite creation.
Joint second place in the competition, which is sponsored by Glasgow burger bar Ad Lib and took place in its Merchant City outlet, went to Roastit Bubbly Jocks, for its Hippity Hop burger; Bread Meats Bread with The Wolf of St Vincent Street; and the Top Dog burger from El Perro Negro. Burger Meats Bun’s Double Deluxe took third place in the contest, which is now in its fourth year.
Speaking after his win, O’Rourke, who has been a chef with Meat Hammer for nearly two years, said he was “really pleased to have been given the prize”.
