• The Bridge Inn was named top pub.

FOUR Scottish businesses picked up trophies at the recent AA Hospitality Awards.

Meldrum House Country Hotel in Aberdeen was named Hotel of the Year for Scotland; Timberyard in Edinburgh won the Restaurant of the Year for Scotland award; The Peat Inn, in St Andrews, topped the Scottish category of the Wine Award; and The Bridge Inn, in Ratho, was named Pub of the Year for Scotland.
The gongs were handed out at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
Graham Bucknall, owner of The Bridge Inn, said: “It’s been four years since we took over The Bridge Inn and this award is a terrific recognition of everything we and all the staff here have achieved.
“We’ve worked hard to create a friendly pub with the kind of atmosphere and food that means that we’re a destination venue as well as a favourite for locals.”
The event also saw two Scottish venues, Hotel du Vin at One Devonshire Gardens in Glasgow and Mark Greenaway in Edinburgh, receive a three rosette rating.
