AN East Lothian hotel is set to be relaunched next month after changing hands in a deal brokered by Christie & Co.

The Rossborough in Dunbar was acquired by experienced operators Philip and Lesley Mellor, who have carried out a major refurbishment of the property.
The hotel, which had been closed for 18 months prior to its sale, has 19 letting rooms, a 150-capacity function room, a lounge bar and restaurant.
The Mellors have refurbished the property, which was built in 1902, and are set to reopen the hotel in October.
Ken Sims, director at Christie & Co’s Edinburgh office, who handled the sale, said a number of offers were received for the hotel while it was on the market.
“It proves, again, where properties are competitively priced they do attract substantial interest,” said Sims.
