Chapter III – the Fiendish Finale is a multi-aged blend matured in Oloroso Sherry Butts and French Oak Barrique casks.
Tasting notes for the limited edition release describe flavours of dark chocolate and dried fruits with a hint of cinnamon, chocolate raisin and a layer of spice and toasted oak finish.
Master distiller James MacTaggart, who hand-picked each cask from the distillery warehouse, said the Devil’s Punch Bowl malts “are our most popular limited edition whiskies ever”.
“Personally this is my favourite of the trilogy and it is a fantastic expression of the Arran Malt,” said MacTaggart.
“The whisky is bottled without chill filtration at natural strength (53.4% ABV) and is unpeated making it approachable and enabling lots of flavours to be discovered.”
