A TRADITIONAL village inn surrounded by agricultural land is for sale in the Scottish Borders.
The Wheatsheaf, in the Borders town of Swinton, has ten en suite rooms as well as a restaurant that was named best in the Scottish Borders at this year’s Scottish Hotel Awards.
The current owners are said to have extensively refurbished the two-storey stone building, which has a four-star rating from VisitScotland.
Ken Sims of Christie & Co’s Edinburgh office is handling the sale.
He said: “The Wheatsheaf has been one of the top performing inns in the Borders for many years, while still offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced operator to take this business to new heights as the economy continues to improve.”
Christie & Co is seeking offers in excess of £595,000 for the freehold.
