THE firm behind The Famous Grouse – the ‘official whisky’ of Glasgow 2014 – has released a limited edition single malt to mark the Commonwealth Games.
Just 1800 bottles of the Glenturret 1986 Cask Strength single malt have been issued by Edrington Group. The year 1986 has extra significance as it’s when the Commonwealth Games was last held in Scotland.
Gordon Motion, master blender of The Famous Grouse, said: “We are extremely proud to be the official whisky of Glasgow 2014 and wanted to mark this momentous occasion with what we do best – whisky.”
