AN Aberdeen bartender has triumphed over rivals from across the UK to take the spoils in a cocktail competition.
Alex Lawrence of Orchid was named co-winner in the final of La Hechicera Rum’s Wanderlust Colombia challenge.
Alex’s winning cocktail, the Lady Colombia, combined La Hechicera with Martini Extra Dry, Mozart Dark Chocolate Liqueur and maple syrup.
Fellow Aberdeen bartender Sian Ferguson of 99 Bar and Kitchen and Jamie Stevenson of Edinburgh bar The Blackbird were also finalists in the contest.
Alex, and co-winner Walter Pintus of The Rivoli Bar in London, will live and work in Colombia for a month later this year.
