Business in picturesque Pittenweem on the market
A BAR in the Fife fishing village of Pittenweem has come onto the books of property agent Bruce & Co.
Located in what’s described as a “substantial” end-terraced property in the village, the West End Bar is said to offer “real charm and character”.
The business, which has been under the same ownership for the past 13 years, comprises a bar area and a function room, which currently operates as a restaurant two evenings a week; there’s also four-bedroom owner’s accommodation on the first floor of the property, which has its own separate entrance. Outside, the West End Bar has a “beautifully-presented” beer garden and a children’s play area, which is said to attract families.
Selling agent Bruce & Co said the bar enjoys strong trade from tourists visiting the picturesque village, which has a traditional harbour, and the nearby beaches and golf courses.
“The traditional property occupies a corner spot in the village and attracts a lot of passing trade due to its excellent location,” said the agent in a statement.
“The business offers a selection of draught beers, wines and spirits in a cosy and friendly atmosphere.
“Although the business has been trading successfully for many years, there is much scope for a new owner to further increase the turnover of the business.”
The West End Bar is on the market at ÂŁ349,995 for the freehold interest.
