OPERATORS keen to get a foothold in Edinburgh’s new town might be interested in a free-of-tie lease, which has come onto the market.

Refurbished in 2011, the New Town Bar comprises a main bar area and basement club which has been used as a Fringe Festival venue. The total capacity of the unit is 253.
Christie & Co’s Barry McNeil, who is handling the sale, said the bar is “very well-renowned”.
“This is a unique opportunity to acquire a free-of-tie lease in the heart of Edinburgh’s city centre,” he said.
“The business has traded very successfully for the last 21 years and a new opportunity exists for a motivated purchaser to take over an attractive lease.”
Christie & Co is seeking offers over £60,000 for the premium with a rent of £35,000 per annum.
