INDEPENDENCE supporters nabbed a narrow victory in Edinburgh recently when drinkers were given the chance to cast their votes in a “beer referendum”.
Pub goers voted 41% ‘Aye’, 38% ‘Naw’ and 21% ‘Maybe’ in the poll, which took place in the Royal McGregor pub.
Organiser Stewart Brewing said the vote was “merely an alternative and perhaps more enjoyable way of polling”.
