Pine boards take place at top table

HOSPITALITY furniture supplier Andy Thornton has unveiled a new line of pine board table tops as part of its ‘Urban Vintage’ range.

The table tops are said to be handmade from reclaimed pine floorboards with each plank finished individually from a selection of stain and paint colours, rendering each board unique.
Boards for the tabletops are glued and pinned to a plywood core for stability and feature a 50mm edging strip.
The softwood tops are then expected to accumulate additional knocks and marks from normal use, which the firm said “adds to the overall authenticity” of the tops.
The plank table tops from Andy Thornton are available in various sizes and are designed for use with the firm’s table bases.
Prices for the plank table tops start at £187 plus VAT.
