The Isle of Barra Beach Hotel

Property offers new owners island life with an ocean view

AN island hotel overlooking the Atlantic has come onto the books of Smith & Clough Business Associates.
Said to be the most westerly hotel in Scotland, The Isle of Barra Beach Hotel currently trades between May and October, and is said to have bookings for this year and 2015.
The hotel has 39 en suite rooms, 30 of which offer views of Tangasdale beach; there’s also owner’s and staff accommodation comprising two flats (one two-bedroom and one with one bedroom) and six staff bedrooms.

Described by the selling agent as in “fantastic condition”, the hotel is said to have undergone a continual refurbishment programme since its purchase by the current owners in 2007.
Graeme Smith, director of Smith & Clough, said the hotel has “endless” business potential.
“It certainly offers a unique opportunity with the plans that are in place, the potential to re-configure the public bar into self-catering and its location,” he said.
“A viewing would be highly recommended in order to fully appreciate exactly what is on offer not just with the hotel but the quality of life it can give.”
Offers in excess of ÂŁ950,000 are being sought.
