THE firm behind Swedish cider brand Kopparberg has announced a new addition to its permanent product range – at the request of consumers.
Kopparberg Raspberry has previously only been available as a limited edition flavour during the summer months, but has been made permanent after customers contacted the firm through its Facebook and Twitter channels, requesting the product be made available year-round.
“Raspberry has been a popular variant in the on-trade for the last few summers and we’ve received really positive consumer feedback,” said Jodie Alliss, brand manager at Kopparberg.
“We’re very selective about the variants we add to our range, but such was the demand for Raspberry that we ramped up production for 2014 straight away.
“We’ve got it ready in time for spring so drinkers can pour it over chunks of ice to enjoy the delicious refreshing taste as the weather improves.”
Meanwhile, the firm has announced three senior appointments to its management team.
Marc Charles has joined the company from G&J Greenall as head of on-trade retail, heading up the company’s managed and free-trade sales teams.
He is joined by Neil Robinson, previously national account controller for grocery multiples, who has taken up the position of head of off-trade, and Anthony Clarey, who has been appointed head of route to market.
Clarey, who will oversee the wholesale and cash and carry channel, was previously national account controller at the company.
