THE Edinburgh Larder Bistro has expanded its offer with the launch of a new bakery on the premises.

The new Archipelago bakery is fronted by Caroline Walsh, who has previously worked in bakeries in Paris as well as Edinburgh’s Loudons Cafe and Fruitmarket Gallery.
Eleanor Cunningham, owner of Edinburgh Larder Bistro on Alva Street, described the bakery as an “exciting new venture” and said she and Walsh “share very similar ideas about our ethos and the style of food we create”.
“It’s a sign of the times that businesses need to collaborate and be more creative in their approach given the economic climate and the many challenges for small businesses at the moment,”she said.
“This is an exciting new venture with Caroline.”
