Loch Ness business is said to attract strong tourist trade
ABED and breakfast business near Loch Ness has come onto the market.
Located in Lewiston near Drumnadrochit, the Glen Rowan Guest House was purpose-built in 1991 and is said to have been renovated and upgraded by the current owners, who have operated the business since 2006.
Separate owner’s accommodation affords complete privacy within one building.
The B&B currently operates with three letting rooms, a guest lounge with split-level dining room, kitchen and utility room. There’s also a mezzanine, which is currently used as an office but is said to offer scope for conversion into another bedroom.
Separate two-bedroom owner’s accommodation offers “complete privacy”, according to selling agent Strutt & Parker.
The property is set in its own grounds, which comprise a terraced area and a raised lawn with additional seating which overlooks the River Coiltie.
Strutt & Parker said the business benefits from strong tourist trade.
“The Drumnadrochit area is famous for its association with Loch Ness and is an excellent point from which to explore the Highlands with its unspoilt hillsides providing a haven for plants and wildlife and excellent rural sporting opportunities,” it said.
“The village of Drumnadrochit has good local shops catering for daily needs and highly acclaimed primary and secondary schooling.
“The extensive accommodation for the owners is entirely separate from the guest facilities, affording complete privacy within one building.”
Selling agent Strutt & Parker is seeking offers over ÂŁ360,000 for the freehold.
