THE family behind hospitality business Monachyle Mhor celebrated success at the 2013 Glenfiddich Spirit of Scotland Awards after claiming the Business Award.

The Lewis family was awarded the accolade in recognition of its Lochearnhead-based business, which includes two hotels, a restaurant and a bread-making business.
Other winners on the night included Edinburgh chef Tony Singh, who was presented with the food category award by chef Albert Roux; six other winners were recognised in categories spanning sport, the environment and the arts.
The evening’s top honour was awarded to 2013 Wimbledon champion Andy Murray, who was named Top Scot.
Now in its 16th year, the scheme aims to recognise individuals who “lead the way” in Scottish culture.
