THE firm behind Glengoyne has released a rare 35 year old expression of the Highland single malt.
The whisky is bottled in an individually-numbered hand-blown crystal decanter, presented in an oak gull-wing box with a stitched red leather interior.
Just 500 decanters have been released with a price tag of £2850 each.
Neil Boyd, director of malt whiskies for Glengoyne owner Ian Macleod Distillers, said the new 35 year old expression is an “exceptionally rare” whisky.
“Distilled in the 1970s and 35 years in the making, this rich malt is golden in colour with tropical fruit intensity and a liquorice and dark chocolate finish,” he said.
“It’s truly outstanding and the beautifully designed packaging is in keeping with the distinct, premium and stylish design of the enhanced Glengoyne brand collection, launched last year.”
