EDINBURGH’S Kyloe Restaurant & Grill has beaten competition from across the UK to win the Best British Roast Dinner 2013 award.

The competition, which formed part of British Roast Dinner Week, was judged by mystery diners who are said to have been impressed by the restaurant’s high quality locally-sourced meat.
Murray Ward, general manager of The Rutland Hotel, home to Kyloe Restaurant & Grill, said: “Kyloe, an old Scots word for Highland beef cattle, was chosen for the name of the restaurant as it represents the strength and versatility of Scottish beef produce. I think this strength reflects in our team and I want to thank them for their passion, hard work and first class service, as without them this award wouldn’t have been possible.“
