LIQUID from the last day of the 20th century hit shelves this week with the release of Isle of Arran Distillers’ Millennium Casks edition.
The limited edition charity whisky, which was casked on December 31, 1999, is being sold to raise funds for the Arran Trust, a conservation charity that funds projects which protect the landscape and environment of Arran.
Euan Mitchell, managing director at Isle of Arran Distillers, said: “We want to help maintain the island for future generations and this new whisky release will help us to raise money for charity.”
Containing whisky from 35 bourbon barrels and ten sherry hogsheads, the Millennium Casks edition has been launched in special edition packaging.
“We produce whiskies which are consistently high quality and this new edition holds genuine appeal for drinkers as it reflects the importance of the past as well as the future,” added Mitchell.
