WHOLESALE group Landmark has scooped two top awards for its wine portfolio.
At the recent Wholesale Quality Food & Drink Awards the group won the Best White and Rosé Wine category with its Vinters Collection Australian Pinot Grigio and Best Sparkling Wine for its Santa Loretta Prosecco.
The group was also shortlisted in the Red Wine category for the Don Fabian Tinto wine.
The awards follow a successful end to summer trading for the group, with recently released figures for August showing a 10.6% increase in sales to depots compared to the same period in 2012.
Managing director Martin Williams said: “Our continued commitment to the independent sector is paying off and this is another good period for the group.
“The economic climate is still making trading difficult but we have seen excellent performances from throughout the group with all members posting solid results.”
The financial results follow a major recruitment drive launched earlier this year, which has led to six new wholesale members securing up to the group.
Martin Williams described securing the new members as a “major achievement” which would improve distribution.
