BURN Stewart Distillers has taken blended Scotch Black Bottle back to its roots, with a new whisky based on the original recipe and a return to the black bottle that first inspired the name.
Created by master distiller Ian MacMillan, the new whisky is said to have a “curiously rich and slightly smoky taste” which is “more in keeping with its original north east recipe”. The black glass bottle has also been reintroduced.
“This new look is in line with the growing global consumer trend for premium spirits with authentic and compelling brand stories,” said senior brand manager Marco Di Ciacca.
